Born and raised in south Los Angeles, Kappa’s taste in music was shaped and molded by the same diverse cultures and people that also call the City of Angels, home.
He discovered his passion for music at a young age and began DJing as a teenager, playing Dancehall and Soca as a member of the Belizean Vibes Crew. He then added hip-hop, R&B and EDM to his repertoire as he played for hundreds of college parties. While simultaneously mastering mixing the genres of Cumbia, Merengue, Punta and Rock en Español for Weddings and family parties.
He took a break from his craft, only to return to it in just a few years when he began playing for multiple corporate events for companies; Niky’s Sports, Kicks to the Pitch, Heineken, Jimador, Kia, Adidas, Nike, Puma and True Car. Through working Sports events with Niky’s sports in conjunction with Nike, Adidas and Puma he has mixed for both local and international Professional teams such as Chivas, LAFC, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. He has also worked with renowned Los Angeles radio personalities; Felli Fel and Mando Fresko. He is now making his own mark on the city by Spinning for many private events as well as continuing to supply tunes for corporate events.
